Researching B2B SaaS pricing is one of the things we spend a good amount of time doing at Reify. Since pricing is very complicated, and there are no one size fits all recommendations for how you should execute on it, it’s helpful to have a lot of data.
In the name of data collection*, I recently when on a spree of capturing the “H1” and “H2” headlines for 20 different SaaS pricing pages, as part of research for a client. The next time you or someone you know needs to see a bunch of these in one place, hopefully this will be helpful!
With no further ado, here we are: 20 B2B SaaS Pricing Page Headlines! (Some light analysis is below).
20 SaaS pricing page Headlines!
Some “Analysis”
Some things to note about these headings:
-
Simple! 25% have the word “Simple” in them.
-
$COMPANYNAME 40% mention the Company or product name.
-
Free! 45% offer something for free.
-
Flexible 20% mention that they are “Flexible.”
My least favorite
Sorry Contentful! I love your product but I don’t get this headline:
A little defensive.
It reads very defensively to me. Does anyone else feel that way? As a customer, at this point in the process I should be relatively sold on the value of the product. “It will pay off” sounds a lot like anticipating an objection for a sale that I haven’t even stepped into yet.
And my favorite!
Nice work, CircleCI! This one is different from most in the pack:
Sells the product, not the pricing. I like it.
It sells the product, instills trust, and doesn’t do too much “telling” about the pricing plans.
Stay tuned
If people like this, I’ll regularly post these kinds of survey posts on our Medium Publication. What else would you like to see? Let me know!
We’d love to hear from you about your experiences of buying and selling software, and if you’re in the business and need some help, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
*Note: This is completely unscientific. I visited the first 20 sites I could think of, screen-captured them, and posted them here.
